Getting Here

Shawanaga Island is only accessible by water. Whether you travel by canoe, kayak, or boat, we hope you take the time to enjoy the journey across these waters that have been traversed by our ancestors for generations.

While you are welcome to land your vessel anywhere along the Island’s shores, please be mindful of choosing locations that will have minimal disturbance to the natural surroundings. We encourage Shawanaga members and visitors to use the docks around the Island for day use access. All visitors should use the Island and associated infrastructure in a responsible and respectful way.

Parking is available on the mainland at Shawanaga Landing.
